Abstract
ZSM-5 coatings was successfully synthesized on the SiC foam with a catalyst loading of 15% wt. after 3 synthesis. Compared with non-catalytic control experiments, the bio-oil yields with composite catalyst bed slightly decreased, but the bio-oil quality was significantly improved with 27% aromatics produced. Compared with other catalytic pyrolysis experiments, the composite catalyst bed produced significantly more BTEX hydrocarbons and less PAHs.
