Abstract

Reaction of XeF₂ with SO₃ proceeds to give either FXeOSO₂F (3) or Xe(OSO₂F)₂ (4) depending on the reagent ratio. Both these reagents react with weakly nucleophilic halogenated olefins to give halogenoalkylfluorosulfates 6 and 7.
