Abstract

Medical librarians need to be well-informed about emerging technologies to keep their libraries relevant. Mobile apps are one of many tools health care professionals use in their daily work. With the influx of new students, residents, physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals, being knowledgeable about new and existing mobile apps is more important than ever. Time is the most valuable commodity for health care professionals, and the introduction of new mobile resources gives librarians a tool that can help them give their patients as much time and access to current information as possible.
