Abstract
Computational tools for examining data obtained from area detectors are described. These programs use a raster terminal as a frame buffer to display images helpful in the analysis of X-ray diffraction data frames and to display images diagnostic of potential problems during data collection or processing. The function of the JUPRAW program is to display single and combined data frames as they are produced. The JUPDISP program displays processed data as circles whose colors indicate their intensities. The reflections are displayed a plane at a time on a grid whose geometry is dictated by the unit-cell parameters and the zone selected. The user can select the maximum resolution of data being displayed.
