Abstract
Surgical understanding of the vascular anatomy of the petrous temporal bone and cerebellopontine angle (CPA) is critical to managing lesions in this region optimally. Many pathological entities occur within the lateral skull base, including tumors, aneurysms, cavernous malformations, and others. This chapter will review this pathology, the relevant anatomy, and the skull base surgical approaches to these complex lesions.
