Abstract
This article and its predecessor offer suggestions to nurses in all service settings by describing how a local public health department planned and implemented its outcomes management program. Included are the steps used to select and analyze reliable and valid quantitative outcomes data, and examples of graphs that depict and interpret those data. The outcomes management program was designed to provide needed information for program planning and evaluation, and for communication with administrators and local government officials.
