Abstract
Registries of orthopedic implants can be of great importance in quality improvement projects, performance reports, benchmarking, value-based initiatives, research, and thus improvements in patient care. This chapter summarizes the 2019 American Joint Replacement Registry (AJRR) annual report and frames it as compared to other national registries and studies conducted using the database. It describes opportunities for improvement in order to augment the reliability and impact of the AJRR.
