Abstract
The article discusses the positives of undergraduate research. Undergraduate research - which involves checking facts, forming carefully worded hypotheses, and supporting a particular viewpoint, without becoming emotionally involved in it - is an excellent preparation for any career. The article also discusses how undergraduate projects enhance faculty members' professional lives, and how they can be used by departments to evaluate themselves.
