Abstract

Otitis media is considered to be an innocuous disease with simple options for treatment. When the easier options have been exhausted, many opt for large, radical surgical procedures. By using a flexible approach to tympanoplasty, the anatomic pathology can direct the surgeon to open and treat only that which is required.
