Abstract
Patellofemoral instability is a complex condition with a multifactorial cause. Surgery is often needed to stabilise the patella from further dislocation. In severe cases of patellofemoral instability a correction of the trochlear dysplasia through a deepening trochleoplasty procedure is required.
