Abstract
Trichogrammatidae is a monophyletic group that consists almost entirely of small-bodied, morphologically reduced egg parasitoids, all of which have 3-segmented tarsi, and many of which are frequently used in biological control of insect pests. The chapter provides a diagnosis, discusses relevant morphology, summarizes their distribution, natural history, economic importance and the fossil record, and provides a key to the subfamilies and tribes.
