Abstract
Muon spin relaxation, Mössbauer spectroscopy, magnetization, and ac-susceptibility have been used to investigate transverse spin freezing in a site-frustrated alloy system. All static and dynamic signatures coincide to yield a well-defined transition temperature (Txy). These results are in full agreement with numerical simulations and earlier work on bond-frustrated alloys. No evidence is found for a third transition below Tc and Txy. A complete magnetic phase diagram for a- (Fe1-xMnx)78Si8B14 is presented.
