Abstract

A study on the transverse orientation of lamellae and cylinders by solution extrusion of a pentablock copolymers was presented. The application of solution extrusion or 'wet spinning' as a rapid and facile means to prepare macroscopic quantities of highly aligned block copolymer microstructures was described. It was demonstrated that two different microstructures (lamellae and cylinders) each with two distinct orientation, can be prepared from a single parent material by varying flow rate and annealing history.
