Abstract

Histopathologic evaluation of human specimens is critically important in order to create a scientific basis for the development of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in otitis media. In addition, pathologic analysis of the middle and inner ear will remain the final benchmark for the validity of animal models of otitis media.
