Abstract
Blood transfusion can be a lifesaving intervention, but it has some potential adverse effects. There are specific indications for blood transfusion therapy in cancer patients based on correct physiological knowledge and principles, and assessment of the patient’s risk factors. To ensure better patient outcomes, safe blood transfusion practices must be followed.
