Abstract
Euglena gracilis (Klebs) has extensively mapped circadians as well as hints of the biological half-week and week. It complements Acetabularia as a unicellular model in which endogenous melatonin can be manipulated. Meta-analysis hints that mapping should be extended beyond components of 24 hours, to encompass, with age, ultradians, about-half-weekly, about-weekly and other infradian changes.
