Abstract
This chapter focuses on the fundamental concepts involved in formulating an anesthetic protocol incorporating TIVA. It answers common questions regarding indications, advantages, disadvantages, and drugs commonly used for TIVA. This chapter also includes an example protocol along with drug dosage rates and recommendations on how to build a TIVA protocol.
