Abstract

A report based on the irreversible changes in the computer and information industry, as discussed at the Fall 2002 COMDEX trade show, was presented. The COMDEX show laid emphasis upon next-generation computer technology, globalization, lower return on investment (ROI), and stifling of innovation and creativity. The lack of creativity in product designs, construction, and operation pose a depressing future for the computer industry.
