The piggyback rail service (TOFC/COFC) has grown to the point where it ranks second behind coal in terms of carloads on the USA rail system. The article examines some of the potentially constraining issues for growth in piggyback traffic, and the potential for consolidated terminals to sustain future growth. - from Author
