Abstract

We measured the superconducting phase transition of a transition-edge sensor (TES) provided by SRON. Using newly developed techniques, we obtain thousands of impedance measurements to find sensitivity αI, current dependence βI, and heat capacity of the TES in the phase transition at various temperatures and bias currents. The resulting data illustrate the shape of the phase transition and probe the internal state of the device.
