Abstract

A new flowmeter is described which is inexpensive and easy to use. Transducers of different sizes can be connected to the flowmeter. With the transducer used, the flow of blood and other fluids can be measured at rates that range from 4 to 40 ml/min. The flowmeter is linear between 8 and 30 ml/min for all fluids tested, but it must be calibrated under the flow conditions with which it is to be used.
