N2 - The authors report a pilot study examining the effect of different treatment interventions on self‐reported meal patterns in normal‐weight bulimic women. The results suggest that group therapy which includes a meal planning component, administered in combination with either antidepressant or placebo therapy, has a significant positive impact on the number of meals and snacks eaten each day. The improvement in the number of meals plus snacks eaten each day was superior to that reported by patients treated with antidepressants or placebo alone.
