Abstract

Treatment of 7,10-ditrocbaccatin III with potassium tert-butoxide resulted in the formation of a cyclic carbonate. Its taxol and taxotere analogues were found to possess good microtubule assembly properties but exhibited poor in vitro cytotoxicity against B16 melanoma cells.
