Abstract

The BigBang rubette is a gestural music visualization and composition tool that was developed with the goal of reducing the distances between the user, the mathematical framework, and the musical result. In its early stages, described for instance in [51, 52], it enabled the definition, manipulation, and transformation of Score denotators using an intuitive visual and gestural interface. Later, it was generalized for transformation-theoretical paradigms based on the ontological dimension of embodiment, consisting of facts, processes, and gestures, and the communication between these levels [53].
