The attack on the transgender community: a public administration response

Research output: Contribution to journal › Article › peer-review

Abstract

How can public administration support the transgender community while the U.S. government is creating laws that try to push the community out of sight? Using queer theory, we discuss how the Trump administration uses Project 2025, as a blueprint, to marginalize transgender individuals and illuminate how individual states have thus far advanced policies to attack transgender communities. Lastly, queer theory informs our insights on how public administration can fight back. Through this article we interrogate American public administration and transgender rights in the age of Trump.
