Abstract

Various tendinopathies exist in the foot and ankle region. Limited blood supply and significant demands placed on these structures can place them at risk during athletic activity. Besides Achilles tendinopathy, the treatment of which is well described in several other chapters in this work, other common conditions include peroneal tendon dislocation, tendinopathy, and tear; posterior tibial tendon dysfunction; tibialis anterior tenosynovitis; and flexor hallucis longus tenosynovitis. Other less well-known conditions are also discussed. Some of the etiologies and conservative and surgical treatment options are discussed.
