Abstract
Because petrological processes in oceanic and continental domains occur largely in response to tectonic activities, teaching an undergraduate petrology course in a tectonic context is an effective way to convey the dynamic nature of crustal processes. Team-teaching the course allows each instructor to present material relevant to his or her area of research interests and to involve students in various aspects of ongoing research projects of the faculty. -from Authors
