Abstract

Synthesis of the mixed isomeric ¹⁴C‐indoleacetyl‐myo‐inositols from carrier‐free β[2‐¹⁴C]‐indoleacetic acid (57.2 mCi/mmole) and inositol via an imidazolide intermediate is described. Radiological decomposition of the indolylic compounds was prevented by the use of a volatile thiol, dithioethane, and anthracene.
