Abstract

Synthesis and thermal properties of hydrogenated poly(styrene-co-1,1-diphenylethylene) copolymers was investigated. The product exhibited a high glass transition temperature of 199°C. The hydrogenated materials also exhibited thermal degradation characteristics similar to those of PS, with only 0.5% weight loss recorded by thermogravimetry analysis (TGA) at 290°C.
