Abstract

Scarring is a reality of all invasive cutaneous surgical procedures. This chapter will deal with the evaluation, management, and surgical and other physical revisions of facial scars that are primarily faced by Mohs and dermatological surgeons. Subsequent chapters of this book will address additional techniques available for the aesthetic improvement of surgical scars, including lasers and laser-like devices, injectable agents, and topical therapies.
