Supporting Learning Pathways of Justice-Oriented Data Science in Secondary Science and History Classes: Teachers' Perspectives

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceeding › Conference contribution

Abstract

Data science has garnered interest in K-12 education and has catalyzed designs conducive to learning experiences that integrate data science, disciplinary content, and justice issues. This poster reports on recent progress made by a project that integrates data science in secondary science and history classes following a justice-oriented data science education framework. Teacher debrief meetings after two classroom pilots revealed both productive seeds of justice-oriented data science and opportunities to refine the designed support.
