Abstract

A description is presented of an integrated approach in designing and analyzing hydraulic systems, using the CD/2000 computer-aided design and drafting software and the Advanced Fluid System Simulation (AFSS) Codes to create hydraulic circuits in 2-D or 3-D, and to provide performance simulations. This is accomplished by using pre- and postprocessors between the CD/2000, the engineering data base, and the AFSS simulation software. The approach can provide designers a powerful tool for hydraulic circuit analysis and reduce the long lead times required to develop complex systems.
