Solvothermal synthesis and characterization of an one-dimensional zinc phosphate

An one dimensional zinc phosphate, [(enH 2) 2][Zn(PO 4) 2] (I), has been synthesized at 433 K under solvothermal conditions. The structures of this compound was determined using single crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound (I) contains one-dimensional chains of formula [Zn(PO 4) 2] constructed from corner-sharing 4-membered rings of alternating ZnO 4 and PO 4 tetrahedra. The one-dimensional chains are surrounded by dipronated ethylenediamionium through hydrogen bonds.
