Abstract

Slit lamp gonioscopy is a fundamental diagnostic skill in ophthalmology. By using a specialized lens in combination with a slit lamp biomicroscope, gonioscopy enables the clinician to assess the iridocorneal angle, identify anatomical variations, and detect pathological changes that are otherwise not visible without this examination technique.
