Abstract
Because university robotics programs must cut through the lines separating the traditional disciplines of electrical and electronics, mechanical, and industrial engineering, and computer science, Florida Atlantic University established an interdisciplinary robotics center. Courses in the area of robotics that provide the possibility of a robotics-oriented specialization within the existing curricula of the School of Engineering have been developed and partially implemented. The planning, implementation and experience obtained from this effort is reported.
