Abstract

This article has been retracted at the request of the Editor-in-Chief. Concerns have been raised about a potential image duplication, specifically that Fig. 2B was duplicated from Fig. 4A from: Lesné, S., Koh, M., Kotilinek, L. et al. RETRACTED ARTICLE: A specific amyloid-β protein assembly in the brain impairs memory. Nature 440, 352–357 (2006). https://doi.org/10.1038/nature04533. The image duplication and manipulation undermines the credibility and reliability of the experimental data presented in the manuscript, as well as the validity of the conclusions drawn from it. Apologies are offered to readers of the journal.
