Abstract

Delayed immune recovery after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (alloHSCT) is arguably the single greatest barrier to the successful use of this treatment modality.1 In this issue of Blood,Merindol et al. dissect the phenotypic and functional patterns of T-cell recovery in recipients of partially HLA-matched unrelated donor umbilical cord blood (UCB).
