Abstract

Nuclear and cytoplasmic RNAs isolated from AKR virus producer and virus-negative cell lines, as well as in vitro transcripts of chromatin isolated from these cells, were analyzed by nucleic acid hybridization using a 3H-labeled DNA complementary to the genome of the endogenous AKR ecotropic murine leukemia virus. Our results suggest that regulation of expression of the endogenous virogene sequences resides in part at the transcriptional level.
