Abstract

The Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) includes a target to conserve 30% of the world's land, ocean, coastal areas, and inland waters by 2030. This “30 by 30” target is one of 23 formal targets within the framework, which supports a broader mission and vision for biodiversity conservation through 2050. This year, researchers, policymakers, and industry officials gathered to focus on resource mobilization and implementation to ensure the framework's overall success.
