Abstract
Isometric force recruitment curves for isolated cat medial gastrocnemious and tidbialis anterior muscles were experimentally determined by several methods, including discrete-point stimulation and ramp inputs. The results demonstrate that the nature of the recruitment curve depends on the experimental method chosen and that each method has its advantages.
