Abstract
Primary ciliary dyskinesia is a chronic disease of the respiratory tract that involves defects of cilia that are found in various structures such as the respiratory tract, fallopian tube and sperm cell flagella. This discussion considers various aspects of this disorder, including its pathophysiology, diagnosis, management and prognosis. Also considered are extrapulmonary features and genetic principles found in this disorder.
