Abstract
Improved patient care permits safe and successful renal transplantation in infants under 1 year of age. Successful transplantation is associated with normal growth velocity and improvements in psychomotor development. Since the optimal management of these tiny infants requires an experienced multidisciplinary team, it is essential that the patients be evaluated and managed at select pediatric transplantation centers.
