Abstract
Students benefit from recognition of theirãchievementsãs learners. A simple tool to help students reflect on their own learning is the use of pre-ãnd post-course self-assessments based onãuthentic veterinary interactions. The use of this tool in three courses over 2 years consistently demonstratedãn increase in the confidence of the students in theirãbility to use the course content in realistic settings.
