Abstract

A series of zinc porphyrins were synthesized and their photophysical and photovoltaic properties were studied. It was found that orientation of zinc porphyrin to the surface of TiO2 nanoparticles, time for the loading of porphyrins, and the axial ligands are all critical for achieving high conversion efficiency of solar energy to electricity.
