Abstract

Base hydrolysis of (η⁵-C₅Me₅)ZrCl ₃ in tetrahydrofuran (THF) yields [(η⁵-C ₅Me₅)ZrCl]₃(O)(OH)₄·2THF which, according to X-ray structural analysis, contains a triangular Zr ₃ core capped above and below by μ₃-O and μ₃-OH groups and edge-bridged by three μ₂-OH groups.
