Abstract
This chapter will review the evidence surrounding the use of pharmacotherapy in the treatment of anorexia nervosa (AN). Medications are divided into three classes; antidepressants, atypical antipsychotics and miscellaneous agents. Randomized, double blind, placebo controlled trials will be emphasized. In the absence of controlled trials uncontrolled data is presented. Lastly, suggestions for future studies will be presented.
