Abstract

This chapter reports on the current status of neurosurgical procedures not otherwise discussed to manage treatment-resistant depression. It includes discussion of prefrontal cortical stimulation and neurosurgery for psychiatric conditions. These somatic interventions also help refine our conceptual frameworks for such disorders.
