Order parameter and density of states in superconducting structures

Abstract

We study superconducting films and layered superconducting-normal metal structures using a purely microscopic, Gor'kov equations based method. We emphasize the case where the coherence length is short. We obtain self-consistent results for the order parameter and the density of states as a function of temperature and geometry.
