Abstract

Nuclear medicine plays a multifaceted role in oncology, including diagnostic imaging and therapy. The few examples given in this chapter highlight some of the more common tests and applications, but there are many more that are beyond the scope of this introduction. Metastatic skeletal disease is covered in the chapter on skeletal nuclear medicine.
