On the viscosity of superfluid 3He

Abstract

We calculate the shear viscosity of the axial and isotropic phases of superfluid 3He assuming a constant mean free path (attributed to diffusive boundary scattering) for the quasi-particles. The results are compared with the experiments of Alvesalo et al.
